ABOUT SUMMIT
From September 17 to 18, 2015, the 3rd Sustainable Energy Finance and Investment Summit - Croenergy2015 was held as part of the Zagreb Business Summit - Cities and Regions at the Zagreb Fair, organized by North-west Croatia Regional Energy Agency – REGEA.
The traditional conference on financing energy projects was organized under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, co-organized by the European Federation of Agencies and Regions for Energy and Environment – FEDARENE and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as an institutional partner, with the support of sponsors - Lipapromet Ltd., Philips Ltd., Agrokor Energija Ltd. , Brunata Ltd., and The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund - FZOEU.
The Conference was opened by Dr Julije Domac, Managing director REGEA and FEDARENE President, Mirka Jozić - Head of the City Office of the City of Zagreb for Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship, Davor Inđić, - Chief Banker at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Sven Müller, Director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Tsvyatko Velikov – representative of the European Commission, Marija Šćulac Domac - Assistant Minister of Environmental and Nature Protection and Dr Borka Bobovec - Assistant Minister of Construction and Physical Planning.
The Conference was conceived as a multi-stakeholder event that connects a wide range of key actors with a common goal of facilitating knowledge exchange, policy development and joint action towards a rapid transition to renewable energy and energy efficiency. Divided into a number of interactive panel sessions and specialized sections CROENERGY 2015 brought together various level governments, non-governmental organizations, research and academic institutions, financing institutions and industry actors to learn from one another and build on examples of successful energy projects and implemented policies.
